3CX version 16 – update 2 is now live

Update 2 is now live! It’s got our technical team excited by the possibilities that the Session Border Controller (SBC) brings to remote management. Update 2 adds further abilities to; drop ship phones with ease, receive email alerts and has a simplified setup to save driving out to your customer’s site. The new update includes more enhancements to the website chat, along with numerous bug fixes to existing issues. You can read more on 3CX’s website and review the performance statistics here. We’ve also released a blog by Matt Carey, our Senior Engineer. He examined this update in Beta, and the results can be found here. Matt also gives a video overview here.

3CX CRM integration

During June, 3CX released the CRM Template Generator to assist in integrating an unsupported CRM system with 3CX. Integration with CRM leads to productivity gains and a better customer experience – check out the blog post from 3CX (which includes a video overview) to see the possibilities.

3CX Partner Programme webinar

Toward the end of June, we invited all 3CX Partners to attend a webinar looking at; how the 3CX Partner Programme works, how the discount structure is set and what the benefits of technical certifications are. There is a recording for our reseller partners located at this link. We’ve just entered the second half of the 3CX financial year, and some partners have carried revenue across to start building to a higher partner status. We’ve had very positive feedback on this webinar as it helps clarify the keys to success with 3CX’s Partner Programme.

VoIP for business is a no-brainer, but what about home?

Matt Carey takes a look in this blog at VoIP solutions for home, and how people can use existing hardware. It gets you thinking about the opportunities to convert home users on to a VoIP system, or to talk with your existing business customers about an offer for their employees’ homes.

Marketing materials

Have you downloaded the latest Marketing Kit from your 3CX Partner portal? If not, it is found in the “Resources” section. We also have material for Grandstream, including battle cards used to compare with other brands. Most people prefer an electronic version of such information, and we can include such download links too. We’re keen to share PowerPoint presentations that you can tailor for specific customer presentations. If you need customised 3CX Datasheets for an event, reach out to Megan Twentyman, our Brand Manager who can happily assist.

Professional services

At Soft Solutions, we’re invested in seeing our partners succeed in the VoIP space. For those venturing into the space, or those with new staff needing extra assistance, we have Matt Carey available for chargeable professional services. There is nothing better than being on site and learning from someone that’s worked with the technology for over 7 years. If you have a requirement for field services, system audits or more, please reach out to Matt for a quote.

Firmware for IP phones

Remember it’s important to keep checking for updated firmware, for your VoIP hardware. Both major brands we work with, Grandstream and Yealink, release new firmware as it’s developed. The firmware is available free of charge from their respective websites. If you’re ever trouble-shooting any 3CX issue, the first thing they check is whether your hardware has the most up-to-date version.

Have you subscribed to our Soft Solutions’ YouTube channel yet? If not, click here to subscribe. By subscribing to the channel you’ll be notified when new content is loaded.

Case studies – local stories to share?

There is nothing better to assist in getting a sale across the line than a local case study that’s easily relatable to your client. We are looking for NZ success stories to share. If you have a customer you think that’d be willing to participate, please get in touch with our VoIP Brand Manager, Megan Twentyman. We’ll make the process as painless as possible. We want success stories around 3CX, Grandstream or even both working together.
