18th June – Auckland this one is for you – join us at our Food Truck & Hardware Showcase Night This event has been designed to showcase all of our hardware brands we represent. This event is open to you and to your end customers – when registering you register yourself as a reseller and any of your clients as a “customer”. This is an opportunity to get hands on with the hardware from our vendors and chat with our Bluechip NZ team. We’ll have food trucks onsite to provide dinner for you and your clients – what a great way to end a Thursday! The event will run from 4.30pm to 6.30pm and you’re welcome at any point during this timeframe – to secure spots for you and your customers register here.

3CX Latest Product News
During May we’ve seen further updates for update 9 which will launch soon – currently on Release Candidate 2. Below is a summary of updates during May:
Update 9 Release Candidate 2 – at the end of last week Release Candidate 2 was released with final minor updates ahead of an anticipated launch soon. See the full blog here.
Update 9 Release Candidate – mid-May the first Release Candidate was released with further updates to the AI transcription and other minor updates including some Yealink and Fanvil phone template updates. Within the blog announcement there is also the link to the full changelog file.
Update 9 Beta – Overnight 3CX unveiled the update 9 Beta edition with some significant additions since the Alpha (Alpha blog is here). A key change that has been alluded to with the retirement of the Ent+ Edition is a major new addition to the 3CX AI capabilities – Grok (xAI). This integration brings a fast, simple and cost-effective option for transcription, summaries and sentiment analysis. There are improvements to the AI Receptionist and PA roles and improvements to the holiday prompts. The full blog found here has key details on the changes within the beta. Remember a beta is not for production systems but is great for testing on your configured test systems.
Deep dive blogs into specific new update 9 features:
- Enhancements to the Queues – some new updates on how queues behave are introduced including changes to callback options; escalation options (within skills-based routing); and new prompt options. See the overview here.
- 3CX AI Agents – Knowledge sources – AI Agents rely on good knowledge sources. In this blog 3CX examines the knowledge sources for your AI Agents – a good statement to take from this is “The Right Tool for the Job: Knowledge Source vs. Live Data”. This is well worth a read to learn to structure the knowledge sources in the best way for the best outcomes. You can view the full blog here.
- WebClient interface changes – the redesign of the WebClient interface focuses on improved usability; reduced clutter; and making daily tasks quicker and more intuitive. Take a look at more detail here.
- Managing Custom VoIP Provider templates – with better tools to give you better management of your custom VoIP templates this blog reviews what is going to be available within update 9 here.
- Remote syslog – introducing enterprise-grade security monitoring for your 3CX PBX via your syslog of choice. This will be a game changer for MSPs and larger enterprise deployments of 3CX – check out the blog which links to the config guide around it here.
Q2 Promotional Discounts continue until 30th June 2026 – during April, 3CX launched promotional discounts which run until the end of this quarter 30th June 2026. There will be no extensions or exceptions to that end date. The discounts are across 3 key areas:
- NEW Licenses 8-SC and above – depending on the length of time you purchase the new license for discounts of 10% to 20% off your normal 3CX partner buy apply.
- Pro-rated upgrades to 16-SC or above and pro-rated upgrades to 16-SC or above combined with maintenance renewals– when increasing the license size to fit within the fair usage policy a discount of 25% applies. If combining with a 1- or 2-year renewal on the same transaction the discount also applies to the renewals. If increasing the size and combining with a 3-year renewal on the same transaction a 30% discount applies.
- Educational discounts –the educational threshold for discounts has reduced from 32-SC to 16-SC and above. Discounts can be used from above promotions. Educational discounts have some specific T&Cs and a copy of the quote from 3CX partner to educational organsiation showing the discounts must be given to Bluechip NZ to apply to 3CX for the appropriate discounts.

Yealink Product News
Coming up on June 18th is your perfect opportunity to visit our Ellerslie office in Auckland along with your customers and check out the comprehensive range of Yealink IP phones; Headsets; and video conferencing solutions. Our Hardware Showcase night will give you and your customers the chance to get hands on with the equipment.
Not in Auckland or unable to attend on those dates – don’t worry we have you covered. We have a wide range of demo equipment of the IP phones; headsets and for meeting room devices, we have an A25 with CTP25 and A40 with CTP25 bundle within our demo equipment available to borrow.
If you are in Auckland but can’t make that night or have a very interested customer, you are welcome to visit our Ellerslie office by appointment where we have three spaces equipped with Yealink MTR solutions. We have a small, medium and large space configured with equipment. Grandstream Product News
We are anticipating further price pressure in Q3 so Q2 is a great time to close open opportunities.
Coming soon – GDMS hosted in Sydney data centre. This will be an exciting additional point of presence for Grandstream’s free Cloud Management platform. GDMS data in Sydney will be an enhancement for customers with data sovereignty requirements. More information to follow as it comes to hand.
The latest blog from Grandstream provides an excellent overview on Wi-Fi 7 and why it’s quickly becoming a strategic requirement for customers. Within the blog found here there is an overview of the models now available.

Commbox Product News
A reminder of the key ranges from CommBox for commercial displays in meeting room spaces:
- MR = Meeting Room Displays, commercial displays from 43” to 98” available
- A11 Intelligent = displays with Android intelligence on board (great for signage!), also available from 43” to 98”
- S5 Classic = full touch/interactive solution with its own OS. Four sizes available – 65”, 75”, 86”, and 98”.

In 3CX’s update 9 (currently still in Release Candidate), new/updated templates for the popular Fanvil X-Series, W-Series (portable DECT and WiFi models), and Hotel IP phones have been added.

Demo Equipment
Here at Bluechip Infotech New Zealand, we hold a demo pool of Yealink, Grandstream, Jabra and Fanvil products which are available to borrow. We have video conferencing solutions, IP phones, DECT phones, headsets, WiFi Access Points, facility access and more available to borrow and test. It’s a great way to be able to test out units and see if they meet the needs of your clients. A great way to evaluate new offerings ahead of purchase.
