Thank You!

As 2025 draws to a close, we want to thank our fantastic UC partners for your ongoing trust and support in Bluechip Infotech to provide the support and services you need around UC solutions. 2025 has been a very busy year full of growth and exciting developments from our key vendors of 3CX, Yealink, Grandstream, Fanvil, and Jabra.

From the UC team we wish you a safe and happy holiday season and look forward to supporting you in 2026.

3CX Latest Product News

While NZ heads into our summer break, 3CX are still hard at work. Over the holiday period we’d suggest staying up to date by visiting the 3CX blog here to ensure you don’t miss any vital information.

Here’s a quick overview of the latest news with links to the relevant blogs:

  • Update 8 Beta 2 – The AI Chapter: This update builds on the Alpha and Beta releases and adds even more features including:
      • New AI Personal Assistant Role – designed to screen and manage calls for a Boss.
      • New Knowledge Sources for AI Agents – allowing retrieval of company specific knowledge to add real “intelligence”.
      • Updated Boss-Secretary – integrates with the latest beta apps.
      • Improved Queue Voicemail – updates and improvements.
      • NEW Enterprise Plus Edition – 3CX made call transcription with 3CX AI available for testing at no additional cost whilst it was in Beta. Pricing was still under consideration.  Update 8 Beta 2 starts to roll out the infrastructure and pricing components – read the full blog for full details, launching soon.
      • Read the full blog here which has much more detail.
  • Windows and Mobile Apps – v5.4 Beta 3: ready for update 8 beta 2 the latest betas are now available for testing:
      • Windows Softphone = Boss-Secretary support and updates to the Jabra and Yealink SDKs for headsets.  See full details here.
      • iOS App = adding the Boss-Secretary support, review it here.
      • Android App = improvements to Android Auto and addition of the Boss-Secretary support, see the full info here.
  • Replace Desktop App (Electron) with Windows Softphone: The older Desktop App based on Electron was deprecated sometime ago, from mid to late Jan it will be blocked so it’s important to update customers to use the new Windows Softphone v5.3.  See the blog here.

Pricing: When 3CX released their updated Enterprise Edition pricing they indicated that they expect further price increases in early 2026, we have no updates at this time on when or what these may be but it’s imperative to keep this in mind when quoting customers. They will introduce the new 3CX Basics and 3CX Enterprise Plus editions at this time. When we have further info, we will update the channel but please be aware if the vendor alters the pricing our quotes will become invalid once they implement that new pricing model.

Yealink Product News

In 2025 has seen a large number of new products released from Yealink including leading video conferencing solutions refreshed with enhanced AI functionality; new headsets also featuring advanced AI learning; and most recently a refresh in the SIP desk phones which also feature AI functions.

2026 will be another big year of solutions that make customers more effective whether it be personally with IP phones and headsets, or video conferencing that embraces the hybrid world we live in.

Check out a recent blog we released “Yealink’s Next-Gen Headsets: AI-Powered Audio That’s Ready for 2026” – this dives into some of the most popular headset models and takes a look at where Bluechip Infotech believes headset technology is going to head (NB: this is our opinion and not an indication of roadmap). Check it out here.

Grandstream Product News

Grandstream continues to innovate with their product range with many new products released in 2025 and of course all centrally managed from their free GDMS Cloud Management portal. The most recent announcement is around the next generation Layer 2++ switches – the GWN7800 Pro series.

The GWN7800 Pro Series is ideal for demanding businesses as it delivers maximum layer 2++ performance thanks to high-speed SFP or SFP+ ports that enable network speeds up to 10Gbps. We expect first stock of these units to be in NZ late January.

The GWN7800 Pro series is the next generation and offers performance enhancements compared to the current GWN7800 series, such as:

    • SFP+ ports for greater network throughput
    • 60W PoE ports on select models
    • Redundant Power Supply on select models
    • 16K-32K static, dynamic, and filtering MAC address
    • Enhanced ACL features
