Important Update Regarding APX Series Access Points
Sophos have provided an update on the lifecycle status of the APX Series access point models. Following their previous announcement about limited availability, they’ve seen increased sales, accelerating the sellout process.
To ensure continued support for their customers, they are announcing extended lifecycle milestones for the entire APX Series. This includes an extended support period until 31st of December 2027, maximizing usage for recent purchasers.
However, it’s important to note that end-of-sale dates are approaching for some models. Please see the table below for details and recommended migration paths to the newer AP6 Series:
Important: Inventory levels are subject to change, so please contact Bluechip IT New Zealand for availability.
Additional notes:
- Final supported software versions will be announced closer to the end-of-life date.
- Customers with APX managed by platforms reaching end-of-life before 2027 will need to migrate to a supported platform.
- This particularly applies to XG/SG Series firewalls (EOL March 31, 2025) and SG Series with UTM OS (EOL June 30, 2026).
Sophos MDR and Sophos XDR Now Integrate with Veeam
Sophos MDR and Sophos XDR can now integrate with Veeam Backup and Replication to provide better visibility and protection against ransomware attacks. This integration offers 24/7 security monitoring, threat investigation, and CryptoGuard technology to ensure the security and recoverability of backup data. The new Veeam integration is available as an add-on subscription for Sophos MDR and Sophos XDR.
