Here’s an overview of the two different types of 3CX licenses available and the Cloud Hosted platform:

3CX StartUP

StartUP is 3CX’s all-in-one Cloud PBX solution – available in two sizes for up to 10 users or up to 20 users. StartUP is a bundle of your PBX license and your hosting for one low annual price that allows you to work from anywhere. The StartUP PBX includes your phone services, integrated video conferencing, mobile apps for iOS or Android, live chat and much, much more. There is even a FREE option for up to 10 users.

3CX Dedicated

A fully featured PBX solution for complete Unified Communications. 3CX Pro or Enterprise are licensed by the unique simultaneous call count model – no per user, per month charges apply. Licensing is one low yearly cost based on system size paid annually upfront. The PBX delivers phones, call centre functions, integrated video conferencing, live chat and business social media messaging, CRM integrations and much more. No add-on charges, everything is included based on the edition you select. Your choice of Linux or Windows deployment and you choose whether to host on-prem, in private cloud, or in the Hosted by 3CX cloud platform. As your business grows, you can increase your license to accommodate additional call volumes.

Hosted by 3CX

Hosted by 3CX is a cloud hosting service designed to host a 3CX dedicated instance from 4-SC to 32-SC size (SC = Simultaneous Call). 3CX take care of deploying your instance to their chosen cloud providers (Vultr for ANZ market) and automatically configure the appropriate firewall rules. 3CX take care of managing the operating system – this includes applying patches and upgrades; taking a nightly backup; and monitoring your 3CX system 24/7. 3CX keeps your instance on the latest non-beta version saving you maintenance time.
